Makam-ı Şerif Mosque and Danyal Prophet Mausoleum (Center): Makamı Şerif Mosque is constructed in 1857. At east of the mosque, there is the mausoleum of Danyal Prophet. For this reason, “Makam mosque” name is given to the mosque. (more…)
Eyup Sultan Mosque: It is the first mosque constructed in Istanbul after conquer. It is constructed in 1458 by Fatih Sultan Mehmet, together with mausoleum. Today’s mosque is the mosque constructed under supervision of Hüseyin Efendi with demolishing the former mosque until to its base in 1800.
İsa Bey Mosque ( İzmir-Selçuk): The mosque, which is on the Ayasuluk hill, at west slope of the St. Jean Bassilica, is a Seljukian piece of art. It was constructed in 1375 by Aydınoğlu İsa Bey.
Menucehr Mosque (Ani Ruins): It is located in Ani Ancient City. Built by Ebu Süca Manucehr from Seddatoğulları Government in 1072, the mosque attract attention as the first building to have been constructed in Anatolia by Seljuks.
Ulu Mosque (Sultan Mosque-Center): It is in the city center, Cami Kebir District, just adjacent to Closed Bazaar. It is known as “Ulu Mosque” among natives, and referred as “Sultan Mosque” in former records. Ulu Mosque, is constructed between 1134 - 1143 by 3rd ruler of Danişmentliler, Melik Mehmet gazi, who made Kayseri his capital city. It is repaired during Seljukian Ruler, I. Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev period on 1205 by Yağıbasanoğlu Muzaffereddin Mahmut.
Cacabey (Medresesi) Mosque (Center): The theology school , which is at the city center, is constructed in 1271-1272 and currently used as a mosque.
Mevlana Mausoleum and Dervish Convent (Center): The idea of constructing such a structure was originated from the will of Sultan-ul Ulema Bahaeddin Veledin, father of Mevlana, when he wanted to be burried there after his death in 1230 and the structure turn out to take its shape as a single tomb was built upon his grave. After the death of Mevlana,a tomb was built there by Pervane Muiniddin and his wife Gürcü Hatun.
