Traditional Giresun Houses
District which is at south east of the castle and known as Zeytinlik District is composed of historical Giresun houses. They are under protection and a resort place for visitors. It is an interesting district which can be visited and seen by those who are interested in old houses.
These traditional houses are especially present at the skirts of the Hisar Mountain and are structures reflecting the traditional texture with red roof tiled roofs, whitewashed walls and green trees overflowing over these walls forming a harmonic trio in the urban silhouette. Most of these houses have courtyards and has two floors.
Van houses brings the examples of traditional Van architecture to our times. The Van Houses, Bazaars, streets, districts, thermal baths, and stone roads are all typical examples of this architecture.
